The Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI) has highlighted its cooperation with iTSCi in the EICC 2016 Annual Report. iTSCi has worked closely with CFSI for many years in support of our joint aims to achieve responsible ‘conflict-free’ minerals supply chains and raise awareness among companies about risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
CFSI is a key initiative of the EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition) and has over 360 members globally. The group signed an MOU with iTSCi in 2016 and processed donations to iTSCi for a total of $161,000, with the objectives of continual progress in upstream supply chains, increased effectiveness of downstream due diligence, and improved linkages between the two.
CFSI also reviewed 863 iTSCi reported incidents for 2016, focusing primarily on the high risk incidents, while also including spot-checks on a sample of low-risk incidents, working directly with iTSCi to gain clarity for its members on the incident review and resolution process and to understand incident trends.
